Professor of the Information and Communication Technologies Department of the Polytechnic Institute of Tomar (IPT). Director of the Techn&Art (R&D unit), Director of the Laboratory of Pedagogical Innovation and Distance Learning of IPT, and President of the Technical and Scientific Council of the Management School of Tomar.
With a degree in Computer Science and Management, an MSc in Educational Multimedia Communication, a post-graduation in e-Learning Techniques and Contexts, and a Ph.D. in Educational Sciences, with specialization in Educational Technology.
Has worked in projects fields related to computer science in education and worked as consulter with several companies. Expertise fields of research include educational technology, ICT for cultural heritage, and public policies.
Membership service with several entities: Association for the Promotion and Development of the Information Society (APDSI), Metared Portugal, Europeana Network Association, and Distance Learning Section of the Portuguese Society of Educational Sciences.
