Successful Completion of the Second In-Person Meeting for the HERITAGE GAME PROJECT
Târgoviște, Romania – September 13, 2024 – The HERITAGE GAME PROJECT, funded by the Erasmus+ Programme (Project No. 2023-1-PT01-KA220-HED-000154261), successfully concluded its second in-person meeting at Valahia University of Târgoviște. Taking place from September 11-13, 2024, the event brought together team members from seven institutions within the KreativEU European Universities Alliance: Adana Science and Technology University, Dimitar A. Tsenov Academy of Economics, Polytechnic University of Tomar, University of Camerino, University of South Bohemia, University of Trnava in Trnava, and the host, Valahia University of Târgoviște. The meeting was a key opportunity to advance the project’s objectives and enhance collaborative efforts among the participating universities.
Event Highlights:
Comprehensive Project Overview: The meeting commenced with an in-depth review of the project’s work packages (WP2 and WP3), presented by the participating teams. Participants engaged in discussions about results, case studies, and future objectives, with presentations from notable experts including Cêlio Gonçalo Cardoso Marques, Vice-President of Polytechnic University of Tomar, and insights from leading contributors.
Project Management and Perspectives: The project management review provided valuable insights into progress, challenges, and future directions. Updates on communication and dissemination activities were also presented, highlighting key achievements and upcoming tasks.
Methodological Discussions: The final day featured in-depth discussions on developing a conceptual model and a community-based gamification manual, fostering further collaboration and innovation among the participating teams.
Book Presentations: Two significant publications were introduced:

Heritage Exploration in Brașov and Targoviste: The day trip to Brașov provided participants with firsthand experience of gamification practices in cultural heritage. Highlights included a scenic cable car ride offering panoramic views of the Carpathians and guided tours of key heritage sites such as Casa Sfatului and the Black Church. In Targoviste, the exploration continued with visits to the historic Middle Age Princely Court, offering deeper insights into the region’s medieval history.
